Hi, everyone!
I am Lynsey Christensen, your community manager. First things first, the team and I are elated to launch the very first Pixie Gazette today. We have a little tasting menu prepared for you of what is happening in each department here for your delight and pleasure.
<aside> 📢 The Pixie Gazette's purpose is to act as our bi-weekly Studio Update to all of you. We are keeping you in the loop with everything going on here at Pixie Interactive and the progress of Northern Guilds.

The team has solidified over the last almost two months now (precisely 49 days ago since mint). We have also made progress on our internal systems and organization:
<aside> 📋 We have decided to adopt and integrate Notion as our project management software. It is exciting to see how versatile and customizable it is. I am especially thrilled that the entire team can use it, from development to community support. We will not require any other PMS system. Full company comprehensive integration was our hope and goal, and we found it with Notion.

<aside> 🤝 Becoming established in our communication practices and learning to work together has honestly been very enjoyable. Meetings in person and online in our virtual Gather office are a dream come true over here.
</aside>
<aside> 🎮 The Pixie Community Support team, Miha, and Wesley have been working on the new Discord mini-game. We (mostly Wesley, haha) wanted to make it from scratch because there are some unique things we want to accomplish with it. Rachel, Adam, Tom, and I have been writing quests for it as well. When we have a release date, we will let you know. I can tell you we are shooting for December!

Planning and creating surprises and experiences for you is the best part of this job! So this process has been enjoyable. There is still more work to do, but we are getting closer day by day!

Two weeks ago, most of Pixie Interactive met up in the same spot, at the same time, for an entire week of concrete, physical collaboration.
Considering the past two years of stay-at-home mandates, quarantining, travel restrictions, area capacity limits, vaccinations, and tests galore, bringing so many people - spouses included - together seemed nothing short of a miracle.
Although not everyone could make it there, and we sorely missed those who could not. We got an incredible amount of value from that time and an equal amount of valuable work done.
