Two weeks ago, most of Pixie Interactive met up in the same spot, at the same time, for an entire week of concrete, physical collaboration.

Considering the past two years of stay-at-home mandates, quarantining, travel restrictions, area capacity limits, vaccinations, and tests galore, bringing so many people - spouses included - together seemed nothing short of a miracle.

Although not everyone could make it there, and we sorely missed those who could not. We got an incredible amount of value from that time and an equal amount of valuable work done.

Let's recap and debrief, shall we?

What we were there for

Two things:

  1. For team building, since we, as a remote company, in particular, will not get to see each other much during the year, so beginning on a good foot is crucial to the entire operation, and

  2. to plan out the core mechanics and fundamental principles that will govern the development, design, infrastructure, and experience of Northern Guilds in an environment more conducive to working together than remote working with strangers.

How it all went

Our week in Mallorca was a brand-spankin' success by every metric. We had a fantastic time at our rented villa about 10 kilometers outside of Palma, the island's capital.
